"Self-service and security RFID system of the Kaunas Vincas Kudirka library and its departments" is an innovative project that we implemented together with partners from the company NexBib. This project was implemented in order to modernize library services, ensure efficient management of books and other collections, and improve user experience.
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology enables efficient identification, tracking and management of books and other library collections. After implementing this system, each book is equipped with a unique RFID tag, which allows information to be read without physical contact with the book. This allows you to quickly and accurately identify which books are in the library, where they are, when they were issued, and other important information.
In addition, this system also helps to automate the processes of issuing and returning books. Users can use the self-service stations that allow them to pick up the books they want themselves by following simple steps through the touch screen. This reduces time spent in queues and improves the overall efficiency of library services.
Security is also an important part of this system. RFID tags are used not only for books, but also for various tools in the library. This allows you to effectively control when and what materials you want to take out, thus ensuring that library property is not stolen or damaged.
The self-service and security RFID system of Kaunas Vincas Kudirka Library and its departments is an excellent example of how technology can be successfully integrated into public services, helping to modernize their operations and improve user experience. This project reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and providing the highest level of service to our customers.
