You will learn how to effectively use available space, ensure the safety of exhibits and combine modern technologies with the daily needs of museums. Practical examples will help you better understand how innovations contribute to sustainable museum management.

Speaker: Claudia Kruk and Peter Lang, KLUG CONSERVATION
Preservation innovations: from traditions to technologies
KLUG CONSERVATION will share insights into the evolution of conservation technologies – from time-tested methods to modern innovations. The presentation will discuss the most important criteria for choosing archival boxes and conservation materials: why it is important to use acid-resistant materials, what are the differences between different types of cardboard and how to ensure long-term protection of exhibits. You will also learn about the possibilities of personalizing boxes and sustainability solutions that help preserve not only cultural heritage, but also the environment.
Speaker: Boštjan Štolfa, ARCHA
Museum display cases: how to ensure the protection and durability of exhibits
Museum display cases need to be more than just aesthetically pleasing – they play a crucial role in protecting exhibits. The ARCHA presentation will examine how properly designed display cases can ensure the long-term preservation of exhibits, taking into account microclimate conditions, humidity control, lighting, protection from dust and UV rays. External aspects of protection will also be discussed: safety glass, locking mechanisms, locking systems and even bulletproof glass. It will present what you need to know before ordering display cases – from conservation requirements to indoor climate conditions, dimensions and installation features.
