Heat set for laminating repair fabrics.. Lightweight fabric, stronger than Crompton, but thinner and more transparent than 20%. The main fabric is 100% abaca fiber, 9.3 μm fabric and is coated with Paraloid based Archibond ™ 1/3 adhesive for excellent transparency, reduced bulk and increased tear resistance.
Cut two pieces of Archibond Tissue slightly larger than the document. Place the document between the two coated sides, using a mounting iron, gently secure with a piece of silicone ipopaper, separating the front of the iron from the Archibond fabric. Pressing too long causes the fabric to wrinkle because it cannot move between the press plates.
Set the Hardbed Press or Semi-Matic Laminator laminator between 80ºC - 90ºC (176F and 194F), the document to be laminated should be placed between two pieces of silicone paper or PTFE fabric on the pressure plate between the plates. 20-30 seconds.
The removed, laminated document should be trimmed to 1.5 mm in its entirety. This margin will ensure proper lamination, and the laminate can be removed if needed.
