Materials for which deacidification is undesirable can be treated and deacidified in an aqueous solution in an individual manner. When the pages are badly damaged, oversized and sealed documents. Materials unsuitable for the aqueous process can also be processed by other methods and means without water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Carefully remove the documents from the solution in a horizontal position and drain off the excess liquid. Be careful - the red shades may fade slightly. Then immerse in the deacidification liquid. Mg (HCO3) 2 is used here to neutralize acid products and create an alkaline reserve. A 0.2 M solution is used, which is further mixed with a solution based on cellulose ethers. The remainder of this solution can be reused if it is fed into the CO2 solution. The processing procedure in this bath is as follows: the documents are placed in the bath and gently moved in the bath again. If the documents were not dried after fixation, they should remain in this solution for about 10 minutes to achieve the desired effect. The documents should also be removed from the bath in a horizontal position. Finally, the documents are compressed between two layers of polypropylene film, stretched over heated cylinders and dried.<\/span><\/p>\n
