We implemented a project at the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, the goal of which was to create a modern and functional storage infrastructure for the museum's collections. The work priority was the safety of exhibits, convenient access, and efficient use of space.
Project progress
We started the project by analyzing the existing space and assessing the museum's needs. We developed a customized solution that included five new storage units. In collaboration with Bruynzeel Storage Solutions, we applied high-quality mobile and fixed shelving and drawer systems that ensure international storage standards.
The installation work included the installation of shelving and drawer systems, the installation of packaging tables and cabinets, and the integration of laboratory equipment. The project was completed on schedule, ensuring safe manipulation of exhibits and optimal access to the collections.
Results
- Five storage rooms with mobile and stationary shelves and drawer systems have been installed.
- The total storage capacity exceeds 1,600 linear meters.
- Shelving modules are height-adjustable, suitable for exhibits of various sizes, each shelf can withstand a heavy load.
- The drawer system with a full-extension mechanism allows safe access to exhibits.
- Packing tables, cabinets, and other laboratory equipment have been installed to ensure efficient work in the museum premises.
- All solutions are made of steel with a protective coating that ensures durability and protection of exhibits.
Benefit for the museum
- The risk of damage to exhibits when manipulating valuables has been reduced.
- Maximum optimized storage space.
- The security of exhibits and their convenience for research and exhibition preparation have been improved.
- Simplified work processes and inventory.
